There is NEWS! December has been busy, busy, busy! But first, the Sunday "ProJo" (Providence Journal) had a great article about local holiday shopping in the "All About You" section. The exciting part: they featured a photo of one of my 2011 Susabean Studios holiday cards being sold at Paper, Packaging and Panache in Bristol, RI. Very fun.
Other December news...spent Monday evening at a CityArts! holiday party. A nice way to mark the end of the CityArts! semester I spent working with Miss Lisa and the (talented and adorable) girls at Nathan Bishop MS. Looking forward to another class after the holidays. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday season...

Weekend Update!
Finally -- a new post! Spent part of Friday at a F.A.N. (Freelance Artists Network) meeting at Ms. Moffatt's home/studio -- which of course was appropriately decked out for the season in all its Halloween glory. It is always both fun and inspiring to see what everyone is working on.
Also spent a bit of time working on a letter-recognition project for the kindergartners that I work with on Wednesday mornings. Planned out some simple black and white sketches, and made little "flip" doors to hide the corresponding letter. Will see what the 5-year set has to say about it this week!

Ducks...
Just got off the phone with Judy, who (oh so wisely) suggested I discuss the ducks visiting my back yard. Due to the monsoon-like weather here in RI, I happen to have a lovely, if momentary, pond in said yard. Mr. Mallard and his...wife? girlfriend? have discovered it and seem to be settling in nicely. They are quite charming. I will attempt to take a photo to post later...
Getting Used to Blogging
Okay, so I suppose I should explain my posting from the other day! The photo is
of me, with my son, Scott, who designed my website -- as opposed to Pete, who was helping me
at the Mac store! Now that I've cleared that up, I can begin to blog in earnest...
